Wedding book for Teresa + John

As we start into the new year, there’s time to catch up on a few items from December that were caught up in the pre-Christmas rush. One of these is Teresa and John’s wedding book – a 12×12″ hard-cover volume from which they had two 8×8″ copies made for their parents.  Their wedding theme was a beautiful pale green, when they got married at London Hilton Docklands, so that became the main colour on the cover, with their favourite portrait in black and white. Originally, Teresa and John had ordered one duplicate album, but when they saw the design, they were so pleased, they ordered an additional one for his parents.

This is possibly my favourite page in the album – two beautiful bridal portraits of Teresa and a page of details – her shoes, bouquet, sash, back of her dress and hair. Teresa was ready in good time on the day so we had time to spend a little time on these and portraits of her bridesmaid, flower girl and close family members beforehand.

Their book was designed with a simple layout that tells the story of their day through reportage of photojournalistic photographs and details.

Each page was individually designed to make the most of the photographs, which included a selection of Teresa and John’s favourites, have a balance of large and small photos and keep the day’s narrative.

After the ceremony, John spent some time smoking a very special Cuban cigar he had been given for his fortieth birthday.

And when Teresa and John had received their albums before Christmas, John sent a thank-you email: “The albums arrived today as promised and look fantastic.”  It’s such a pleasure to work with such lovely people and produce books and albums that tell their stories.
