West India Quay, next door to Canary Wharf, hosted two afternoons of entertainment over the bank holiday weekend, including some dance workshops and music for dancers to gather. There was rock ‘n’ roll, Argentine tango, and quickstep just while I was there. There was an artificial beach complete with deckchairs, inflateable giant octopus and sunshades … quite surreal pretty much in the shadow of the landmark Pelli Canary Wharf silver tower (the tallest one).
