Rachel and Danny’s Gherkin wedding started with guests waiting in the sunshine to go inside for security checks. They were piped into the building at the appropriate time to reflect Danny’s Scottish roots.  Guests went to the 34th floor, where they changed lifts for the 39th.  Danny and the ushers were waiting at the top for guests.
Rachel, her mother and bridesmaids arrived on time in a black limousine.
Have you ever seen anyone look this happy?
The quick upward rise of the lifts can make your ears pop.
Poor Danny is a worried man.
Rachel’s mother walked her down the aisle and lifted her veil.
Danny’s usher Andy read A Lovely Love Story by Edward Monkton during the ceremony.
We did a couple of group portraits after a champagne reception.
For anyone who doesn’t like heights, you might want to look away for the next two photographs.
I finished Rachel and Danny’s coverage at their meal, but couldn’t resist sneaking in a couple of extra portraits before I left.
