This week I discovered possibly the best brownies I’ve ever tasted – squidgy, rich and chocolatey and filled with hazlenuts. I had one at the Euphorium Bakery in Upper St. No wonder there was a queue out of the door. And it’s a very good thing that I don’t live anywhere close to the place.
Gotan Project released a new album this week called Lunatico. OK – it’s tango music – which fits in with my dance life – but it’s more than that – it’s just fantastic music to listen to as well. One of the tracks, Mi Confesion, is pretty much tango rap (if there is such a thing). Many of the others are far more beautiful … tracks to listen to in the early hours by candlelight. Or you could dance to them all … or both.
For a long time now, I’ve wanted to do photographs of seniors – students in their last year of high school. This is popular in the US, especially because students need photographs to put in their year book. I photographed an American student called Zac last year just after he had graduated and this weekend, I get the chance to photograph a couple of young women. They’re both photography students and I’m really looking forward to the shoot.
