Just two words – Patisserie Valerie.

These were the cakes that Patisserie Valerie made for Andie and Kevin who married yesterday at Westminster Register Office, then went to the Landmark Hotel nearby for drinks and dinner. The cakes – one for each guest – smelled amazing as well as looking scrumptious.

Andie is a textile designer with incredibly neat handwriting. Her placecards featured her writing as well as hand-drawn flowers for the female guests.

We popped down to the Landmark’s mezzanine floor for a little dancing with Kevin – and to show off Andie’s Elizabeth Todd dress while many of their guests were socialising. They really had thought of everything for their guests, including many children … childminders, stickers, goodie bags … and a large screen showing the England-Portugal match.

It’s lovely to see a couple looking so happy with each other and their day. There were also some very touching moments with their families.
