Paula and Alan were married today at Westminster Register Office. But rather than have me photograph the wedding, they chose to have a portrait session instead. So after their ceremony, they, their friends and I headed off to Covent Garden. While their friends had a drink & lunch in the shade, watching street entertainers, we wandered around some cute spots for portraits of them and their daughter. Paula and Alan will view their portraits in about a month when they return to London from their home on the outskirts of Paris.
Hi Bex,
Love those four photos and can’t wait to see the rest!!!!
Thanks for a very fun photoshoot! I didn’t tell you before because I didn’t want to scare you away but… Usually I am a massive camera dodger! However, I want you to know I had an absolute blast having our photos taken with you behind the lense! We all did!
My friends, who, blog readers, Rebecca also photographed for us, were completley overwhelmed by your eye for detail, your deep kindness and complete professionalism! They wanted to know my secret for finding such a gem.
P.S that massive pizza wasn’t lunch it was their aperatif – those guys are French/Greek – lunch was a many coursed affair and lasted the rest of the afternoon in a restaurant by the Thames…
But hey, Bex, in all seriousness – Thanks a billion – It was a perfect day – starting with a relaxed ceromony(we somehow ended up saying our wedding vows while playing catch with the three children using a beach-ball). Finishing with a long happy lunch with our dear friends and in the middle a photoshoot with quite frankly the coolest photographer in London! – Complete perfection for our slightly bohemian (I like to think) and very understated yet deliciously intimate wedding day!
See you in August – If I can wait that long!
All the best
Paula
Hey, thanks for your very kind words and for choosing me, Paula. It was fun (a challenge with all the crowds) – and wonderful to capture you all. Your lunch sounds completely idyllic & really look forward to see you again in August!
