Tammy and Damian’s wedding today had a forecast for light drizzle, so when we arrived at Burford Bridge Hotel (official full title Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel) Â for their reception in the Tithe Barn, I wasn’t expecting us to be able to use the grounds for their portraits. Â As soon as Tammy and Damian had collected a drink, we went outside to shoot their wedding portraits. There was a strip of wild flowers that had not been mown that just had to be used – and here is one of their portraits. Tammy’s Maggie Sottero dress and short veil were just so pretty and feminine, it was a pleasure working with it against the contrast of Damian’s kilt in the MacGregor hunting tartan of his mother’s Scottish family, not to mention Tammy and Damian’s giggles and kisses.

Megan and Michael’s Westminster Register Office wedding this morning had beautiful spring sunshine … so here is a single from their day taken as they walked to their reception and lunch with family and friends at The Landmark.

Natasha made just the prettiest bride at her and Christopher’s wedding at The Langham in central London. Â Natasha was getting ready in her room with the help of dress designer Christine Kendall, who sweetly accompanied us to Westminster Register Office.

After some telephone tag to ensure Christopher was well ahead of us on his way to Westminster Register Office, we hopped in a black cab. Â The driver insisted on Natasha accepting his 50p coin on top of her change from the fare – silver for good luck.

Christopher, his parents, sister and brother in law were waiting in the Blue Room for Natasha’s arrival.

After warm congratulations, Natasha and Christopher walked out onto Old Marylebone Town Hall’s famous steps and we hailed a cab to take us to the South Bank for some portraits.

One of the reasons we went to the South Bank was its glowing lights on a dull winter day – both for the carousel and the German Christmas market. Â Natasha and Christopher were also able to warm up with a mulled wine. We captured them in front of the mulled wine hut (there’s probably a better word for it), surrounded by a variety of London’s population and then managed to get one of them on their own. Â Very sweetly, about half a dozen people about to walk behind Natasha and Christopher had held back so we could have a clean wedding portrait of them – complete strangers can be so very thoughtful.

By now, Natasha was all goose bumps and we headed back to The Langham for a few more wedding portraits.

Christopher wasn’t forgotten – he had a portrait against these doors, one of his favourite features of the Langham – and a Christmas-themed family portrait.

I took just a few more photographs of them at afternoon tea in the Palm Court before leaving them to their celebrations.

Nicoletta and Steve’s photographs from their wedding at The Dorchester have now been edited and I’m so excited about them. In Nicoletta and Steve’s working lives with a design company, they’re used to briefing photographers and sent me references of the kinds of photographs they most liked as well as explaining which of my work they felt would capture their day best. It meant I was able to best tailor their photography. Here is their day, with their baby daughter Ava.

It’s late and I’m off to a workshop first thing in the morning, so quickly posting a single from today’s lovely, lovely wedding. This is Nicoletta about five minutes before she walked down the aisle at The Dorchester. She was just so stylish. If you were a guest at the wedding, do get in touch so I can let you know when their full gallery goes on-line.
