Natasha made just the prettiest bride at her and Christopher’s wedding at The Langham in central London. Â Natasha was getting ready in her room with the help of dress designer Christine Kendall, who sweetly accompanied us to Westminster Register Office.

After some telephone tag to ensure Christopher was well ahead of us on his way to Westminster Register Office, we hopped in a black cab. Â The driver insisted on Natasha accepting his 50p coin on top of her change from the fare – silver for good luck.

Christopher, his parents, sister and brother in law were waiting in the Blue Room for Natasha’s arrival.

After warm congratulations, Natasha and Christopher walked out onto Old Marylebone Town Hall’s famous steps and we hailed a cab to take us to the South Bank for some portraits.

One of the reasons we went to the South Bank was its glowing lights on a dull winter day – both for the carousel and the German Christmas market. Â Natasha and Christopher were also able to warm up with a mulled wine. We captured them in front of the mulled wine hut (there’s probably a better word for it), surrounded by a variety of London’s population and then managed to get one of them on their own. Â Very sweetly, about half a dozen people about to walk behind Natasha and Christopher had held back so we could have a clean wedding portrait of them – complete strangers can be so very thoughtful.

By now, Natasha was all goose bumps and we headed back to The Langham for a few more wedding portraits.

Christopher wasn’t forgotten – he had a portrait against these doors, one of his favourite features of the Langham – and a Christmas-themed family portrait.

I took just a few more photographs of them at afternoon tea in the Palm Court before leaving them to their celebrations.

I photographed Jo and Manoj’s wedding about six years ago and since then, they’ve had two delightful daughters – Isabel and Ava. We recently did some family portraits of them in and near their London home in Islington. Â They had a selection of reportage style photographs of them reading stories and playing games and and some more formal portraits of them in a nearby park. Â Here are some of my favourites.

Here’s a single from Vanessa and Will’s wedding yesterday at Westminster Register Office. It was taken as we were doing some portraits before the ceremony and noticed Paul standing near us on the footpath with his copy of The Sun tucked under his arm. Â The local character was very happy to be photographed with Vanessa and Will and made their London day even more special. More to come next week, when the rest of the wedding is edited.

Caroline and Christian’s wedding yesterday with their closest friends and family at One Aldwych was just beautiful. Â All of their photographs were taken in the two areas they had booked for their celebrations – a private suite and a separate private room for their dinner, except for a few in the hotel’s fabulous lifts. Â The light really was this vivid and this colour. Â Their full blog post will go up in about 10 days.

Thursday, August 19, 2010 | Islington Town Hall, London wedding, Wedding
Here is a single from today’s wedding of Tanya and Zhewei. Â They were married at Islington Town Hall, before us all hopping in a limo to go to the Oyster Bar in St Pancras Station; and just about now, they will be on the Eurostar, which runs from St Pancras, to honeymoon in Paris. Â Their full blog post will be posted in the coming week.
