I had the pleasure of photographing Claudie this morning for updated professional portraits. Â We have known each other for many years and often shared pots of tea, so we chose somewhere that reflected this. Here are just a couple from her portrait session.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010 | Surrey Wedding
The Oaks Farm wedding of Laura and Nick very much reflected their personal touches and design industry careers – so style and downright prettiness was the order of the day.

Nick spent a few minutes making sure he looked his best then it was time to get married to Laura.

The sky was overcast, which meant gentle light for their wedding portraits in the Oaks Farm grounds.

Their young guests had gone to some effort to look the part …

and after some deep concentration and thought …

… produced a bride and groom on-the-spot portrait.

After a little more time capturing their guests and reception, I finished with some details of Oaks Farm while Laura, Nick and their guests sat down to dinner.

Friday, February 20, 2009 | Business portrait, London wedding, Portraits
I’ve just finished editing business portrait sessions for two Everywoman members. Everywoman is an organisation for women in business with advice and events such as its annual conference, which I’ve loved.
Vaishali Shah from Creative ID designs stunning wedding invitations reflecting her British Asian heritage. She has been working with an Asian and Scottish couple on their wedding and managed to find tartan confetti for the Scottish element. How clever is that! Here are my favourite three from the session.

My other client was Kate Tailyour, a fashion designer, who wore some of her own designs for the session. Kate’s life is buzzing with a sample sale and planning the launch and shoot for her next collection.

Saturday, June 14, 2008 | London wedding, Portraits
Nick and his girlfriend Janet booked a portrait shoot for yesterday in time for Nick’s mother’s forthcoming birthday. They chose Farningham, a beautiful little village near Swanley, for their session, complete with mill house, rustic bridge and beautiful afternoon light. Since Nick is a lighting designer, it was especially nice to have such good light.

Wednesday, May 7, 2008 | Maternity portrait
Jayne came for her maternity viewing today – and was pretty chuffed with the results. I was chuffed too – and Jayne is happy for me to share the images below. The wonderful draping is part of her wedding outfit from about five years ago that she loved and was excited to wear again.
