As a Christmas present this year, I would like to knit a hot water bottle cover. It’s been a very long time since my grandmother taught me how to make a coat hanger cover, 14 stitches wide, so I popped along to Loop in Islington. They very helpfully introduced me to some suitable wool and recommended a needle size. The number of trendy knitted cushions and felted bags was quite inspirational. We’ll see how we go after this small project.
On the way back, the weather was very gloomy, so I popped into Fortnum & Mason for some tea. The windows just looked so welcoming and in 16 or so years or living in London, I’ve never been in, so had a good look around. There was lovely packaging & fabulously iced gingerbread but chose some orange pekoe tea in a yummy tin.
